Accessibility statement

We help others make their services accessible, so our own website has to work for everyone too. This page tells you how far we are, how we tested it, and what still needs work.

  • Website: juwix.be
  • Statement made: 9 October 2026
  • Last tested: 9 October 2026

Status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Our own tests found no known failures. But we have not finished a full manual test with screen readers yet, so we don’t call it fully conformant.

Our goal

We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA. That is one level above what the European Accessibility Act asks for through EN 301 549, which uses WCAG 2.1 AA. We also follow the W3C guidance on cognitive accessibility where we can, because WCAG alone does not cover everything people need.

We don’t use an accessibility overlay or widget. We fix things in the code.

What you can do on this website

  • Choose a display mode at the top and bottom of every page: Light, Dark or Low friction. Low friction removes motion, decoration and handwritten text, and keeps everything else in the same place.
  • Use only a keyboard. Every link, button and form field can be reached with the Tab key, and has a clear focus outline. A skip link takes you straight to the content.
  • Zoom up to 400% or use a narrow screen. The content reflows to one column, without sideways scrolling.
  • Turn off motion in your device settings. We respect that setting: animations stop, and the video on the homepage does not start by itself. You can pause the video at any time.
  • Read without the colours. We don’t use colour as the only way to show something. Text and buttons meet the contrast levels of WCAG AA in all three display modes.

How we tested

  • An automated check with axe-core on all pages, in all three display modes, for WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level A and AA. Result: no errors.
  • Keyboard tests of the menu, the quiz, the free EAA check and the contact form.
  • Tests at screen widths from 320 to 1440 pixels, with the reduced motion setting on and off.
  • Still to do: a full test with the VoiceOver and NVDA screen readers, and a test with people who use assistive technology every day.

What still needs work

  • Screenshots in our cases. Our case pages show screenshots of websites and designs we made, with text in the image. They show what we made, so we can’t replace them with real text. Each one has a description of what it shows.
  • Handwritten labels. Some small labels use a handwritten typeface. They are short and only decoration, and Low friction mode replaces them with our normal typeface.
  • Links to other websites. We link to the websites of our clients. We are not responsible for how accessible those websites are.
